WHAT ARE THE FARM STAY COTTAGE CONFIGURATIONS (HOW MANY BEDS IN EACH UNIT?)

On the farmhouse there are 5 independent farm cottages and there is one  smaller 2 bedroom accommodation unit. Each of these 6 have different tarriffs and configurations. There are; 2 x 3 bedroom farm cottages (same configuration), 3 x 2 bedroom farm cottages (same configuration) and 1 x 2 bedroom unit. 1 x Studio apartment style accommodation.

WHAT IF I NEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR THE BEDS ALTERED TO SUIT MY NEEDS?

Ripples n Tonic Farm facility has a variety of special equipment such as high / low beds , mobile hoists, air mattresses, bed rails etc... If you require this kind of equipment and room re-configuration, then there will be a $65 cost per bed.

WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU HAVE AND ARE THEY FRIENDLY?

On the property there are a variety of farm animals at any one time. The vast majority will be friendly and be able to be hand fed such as the cows, sheep and the goats. You will be able to hand feed the hens and roosters and ducks that will free range around the accommodation grounds during the day. There will also be some guinea pigs that you can feed and pat too.

CAN I BRING MY DOG – ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?

Pets are welcome but you must be prepared to have them on a lead at all times on the property  For example, other guests may have a fear of dogs  or some of the farm animals especially the free range chickens or ducks may be at risk of attack.  We also have some free range guinea pigs walking around the lawns or eating grass near the open to the public and guests area.

HOW FAR FROM THE BEACH IS THE FARM STAY?

The local beach in Ventnor is approximately 1 km away. It is a walkable distance or a very short trip in the car. The great thing about Phillip Island is that you are never far from the ocean beaches or the tranquil waters of Western Port Bay.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE FARM STAY ACCOMMODATION COTTAGE THAT I HAVE BOOKED WHEN I ARRIVE?

Once booking is confirmed and payment is received, the Ripples n Tonic team will email you the digital access codes for the entry door via the carport. The great benefit is that you do not have to worry about keys, especially when you go for a short trip, swim, spa or stroll around the farm. It is advised to put the code into your phone or have it written down somewhere.

WHAT IS SUPPLIED AND WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

There are a lot of items supplied to make your stay at Ripples n Tonic Farm a wonderful relaxing experience such as: -

  • Fully accessible bathroom

  • Relaxing communal farm setting including picnic tables overlooking play area, communal BBQ, Pizza Oven and food preparation area

  • BBQ facilities (gas provided) also attached to each Cottage

  • Wide screen TVs, & Stereo/DVD player and large selection of assorted DVDs

  • Tea, Coffee and sugar supplied

  • Laundry facilities (laundry powder supplied)

  • Shampoo, body wash, conditioner and moisturiser supplied

  • There are two bikes for use

  •  Outdoor undercover spa (bookings required)

  • A range of accessible equipment (refer to list of accessible equipment)

  • Offering a carbon offset amount that we can add to booking as a payment option if people wish (eg, specific number of plants planted per stay - xx per night)

  • Firewood available for purchase.

Items to bring: 

  • Guests will need to bring their own beach towels

  • If required, guests will need to bring their own sling for mobile hoists on site.

HOW CAN I BOOK AND PAY FOR MY FARM STAY EXPERIENCE?

There are four options. You can: - make a PayPal booking over the internet website

  • you may make a direct deposit into the Ripples n Tonic bank account at BSB No 033070 and Account No 358420

  • You can phone us and using your credit card make a payment over the telephone

  • You can write a cheque or get a Bank cheque made payable to Ripples n Tonic and mailed to PO Box 531, Cowes 3922.

  • You can make a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your booking and the remaining outstanding funds need to be paid at least one month prior to your stay.

DOES THE PROPERTY HAVE WIFI AND INTERNET ACCESS?

The property has full internet Wifi access at no additional charge.

WHAT IS THE COMMUNAL AREA LIKE? WHAT DOES IT OFFER?

The communal area is located in a centralised area overlooking the play grounds, vegetable gardens and fruit orchards in an area that has lots of green grass and open space to relax. The communal area will also have some additional features not available in the cottages such as a large BBQ cooking area, a pizza oven (plenty of firewood provided) and a fire pit area with numerous outdoor chairs, benches and tables. There will be stronger free WiFi access.

CAN I BOOK MORE THAN ONE COTTAGE FOR MY GROUP?

Yes, Ripples n Tonic Farm stay facility is geared to accommodate group bookings from service providers or multiple families. At any one time at this stage, there is capacity for 40 people per night using all six accommodation options.

IS THE BOOKING RATE PER PERSON OR FOR THE ENTIRE FARM STAY COTTAGE FOR THE NIGHT?

The daily/nightly rate is for the entire cottage whether you use each bed or bedroom or not.

HOW FAR AHEAD DO WE NEED TO BOOK?

School holidays are most popular and are booked out well in advance. If this is your preference, book early. However, for the remainder of the year there is great flexibility and opportunity to stay at short notice.

IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF NIGHTS TO BOOK THE PROPERTY?

Generally there is a minimum of two nights stay and during the school holiday period and declared long weekends there is a minimum booking period of three to four nights.
